Coverage where there isn't any.

ShepardMesh blankets your entire property in a self-healing GPS mesh network — tracking vehicles, equipment, and guests in real time across terrain where cellular and satellite go dark. No towers. No wifi. No per-device data plan.

The problem

Where the signal stops, the liability starts.

Outdoor recreation properties are exactly the places connectivity fails — back nine, far moorings, deep trails, the lift line at the top of the ridge. The tools meant to keep track of people and equipment quietly stop working at the property line.

01 / CELLULAR

Dead zones are the rule, not the exception

Cellular GPS trackers report nothing the moment a vehicle or guest leaves coverage — which on most properties is most of the property.

02 / SATELLITE

Coverage you pay for by the device, forever

Satellite messengers work off-grid but bill a subscription per unit and update slowly. Fielding a hundred of them is a budget line, not a system.

03 / RADIOS

Voice tells you who. Not where

Handheld radios connect crews but can't show a position, a track, or a zone breach. When seconds count, "what's your twenty?" is not a location.

How it works

Every node makes the network stronger.

ShepardMesh is a hardware-and-software system. Each unit is a GPS receiver and a long-range LoRa radio. Units relay each other's packets, so a handful of nodes cover ground no single transmitter could reach.

1

Deploy nodes

Quick-mount a unit to each vehicle, equipment item, or patrol — and a few fixed nodes as anchors. No trenching, no towers, no site survey.

2

The mesh self-heals

Nodes discover neighbors and relay position packets hop by hop. Lose a node and traffic reroutes automatically. The more you deploy, the further it reaches.

3

The console shows everything

A gateway node bridges the mesh to the cloud. Your team watches the whole property — live positions, tracks, zones, and alerts — from any browser.

The platform

One screen for the whole property.

The Fleet Console turns mesh traffic into situational awareness — built for a watch desk, legible at a glance, and quiet until something needs you.

Live property map

Every node, in real time, on your own site map. Positions, headings, and tracks update as the mesh reports.

Zones & geofences

Draw boundaries — out-of-bounds runs, restricted moorings, closed trails. Get an alert the moment one is crossed.

SOS & man-down alerts

A node can trigger help with one press, or on impact. The console flags position and routes the nearest responder.

Asset register

Carts, boats, snowcats, tools, kayaks — every tagged item in one inventory, with last-seen position and battery.

Track playback

Replay any node's movement for any window. Reconstruct an incident, settle a dispute, document a response.

Reports & exports

Utilization, coverage, response times, incident logs — exportable for operations reviews and insurance files.

Use cases

One network. Every kind of property.

The architecture doesn't care what you call your terrain. If it's large, off-grid, and full of moving things you're responsible for, ShepardMesh covers it.

Golf & grounds

Know where every cart, mower, and ranger is across all 18 holes and the back lots — without a single cell repeater.

  • Recover carts that wander off-property or off-hours
  • Flag lightning-policy zone clears in seconds
  • Document grounds-crew response for liability files

Marinas & waterfront

Track tenders, work boats, and rental fleet from the fuel dock to the far mooring field — and across open water with no signal.

  • See rental vessels leave and return the basin
  • Geofence no-wake and restricted zones
  • Trigger and locate an on-water SOS instantly

Parks & land management

Coordinate rangers, maintenance, and response across thousands of acres where coverage is a rumor.

  • Maintain situational awareness across backcountry
  • Speed search-and-rescue with last-known tracks
  • Monitor vehicle access to closed areas

Adventure & ropes parks

Keep eyes on guides and high-element groups spread across a wooded course where radios echo and cell bars vanish.

  • Confirm every group is accounted for at close
  • Locate a guide's SOS to the exact element
  • Track gear and rescue equipment placement

Summer camps & wilderness programs

Account for trip leaders and off-site groups on hikes, paddles, and overnights — far past where the office wifi ends.

  • Track each trip group's position and route
  • Set safe-return zones and overdue alerts
  • Give parents and accreditors a documented record

Ski & mountain operations

Locate patrol, groomers, and snowcats across the whole mountain in weather that takes out everything but the radio.

  • Track snowcat and groomer positions overnight
  • Speed avalanche and incident response with live tracks
  • Monitor out-of-bounds zone crossings

How it compares

There isn't a like-for-like alternative.

Everything else makes you choose between working off-grid, knowing position, and not paying per device forever. ShepardMesh is the only one that refuses the trade-off.

Situational awareness

Quiet until it matters. Unmistakable when it does.

Designed for the watch desk

Dark, dense, and legible at 03:00. The map is the canvas; everything docks around it.

Alerts that earn the interruption

Zone breach, SOS, lost contact, low battery — surfaced as a toast with position, time, and one-tap acknowledge.

Every position, logged

Nothing is thrown away. Replay any track for any window — the record an incident review or insurer asks for.

Deployment

Up and reporting in a day.

Quick-mount the nodes, place a gateway with a view of the property, open the console. No trenching, no carrier contracts, no IT project. Each unit is about the size of a thick deck of cards and runs for weeks between charges.

Risk & insurance

A record, not a recollection.

Every position is timestamped and kept. When an incident is reviewed — by your team, a regulator, or an insurer — you produce the track, the response time, and the zone state instead of a statement. Documented diligence is a lower-risk operation.
